PRTechnology track day review Fri 30 April 2010 @ Wakefield Park
A fantastic day was had by all at PR Technology’s track day at Wakefield Park on Friday 30th April.
Early morning fog soon lifted to reveal perfect conditions. After a short briefing, the track was opened and stayed that way until 4pm.
Barton Mawer was kept busy as our instructor for the day. He was abducted by most drivers to show correct technique, the best lines and how quickly each car could go around the circuit without fuss.
A number of personal bests were smashed, and a few special cars took to the circuit. Erni & Gale Panaioli took their immaculate little 356 for it’s race track debut, the PR Technology built GT3 engined Boxster had it’s first taste of Wakefield park and Raymond Jones’s ex. Jim Richards 5 times Targa Tasmania winning 996 Turbo came out to play. Jack Elsegood did some laps testing with his V8 Racing Ute. The rest of the field comprising of GT3s, 968s, 911s, a 928 and a rally spec Evo all had as many laps as they wanted and everyone had an absolute ball!
We all at PR Tech. look forward to many more successful and enjoyable days at the race track.
If you still haven’t been onto a race circuit, take the step, book one of the next track days off work & come have some fun.
