PR Technology is a Porsche specialist workshop based in Brookvale, on Sydney’s northern beaches. PR Technology was established in 1993 by current Partners Paul Jacobsohn & Richard den Brinker and has grown to be recognised as one of the largest and most respected Porsche workshops in Australia.
PR Technology is highly regarded for its exceptional workmanship and attention to detail. Richard and Paul, with backgrounds in mechanical and electrical engineering, together lead an elite team with an immense wealth of knowledge and experience. The PR technology team includes Porsche trained motorsport technicians, engineers, machinists and fabricators hand picked from Australia, Europe and the USA. As a group of enthusiasts passionate about their work, PR Technology deliver an exclusive specialist service, with a systematic approach to problem solving, attention to detail and quality workmanship unparalleled in the automotive trade.
The PR Technology team have exceptional experience and knowledge in everything Porsche. As an authorised workshop we offer warranty compliant servicing on new model Porsches; and can carry out servicing, upgrades and specialist race preparation for all Porsche models. In addition, our customised attention can create your dream car, accurately restore a classic, or prepare you for a race meeting.
At our large, immaculate facility you are encouraged to be involved with all work on your Porsche. PR Technology is equipped with Porsche diagnostic equipment, computer design capability, machining facilities, a fabrication & welding department, wheel alignment equipment, electrical and electronic laboratory and a service department.
In addition to PR Technology’s roadside expertise, PR Tech Racing is very proud of its achievements. We have built and prepared several Australian Championship winning Porsche race cars, and managed winning Porsche teams in various forms of Australian Motorsport over many years. We have won club, historic, Porsche cup and production racing titles, including first positions in both Australian GT Challenge, Australian GT Championships, and have been awarded “Australian GT Team of the Year”.
Most recently the PR Technology prepared RP968 World Time Attack Challenge Pro Class car won the title with a time of 1:19.8250
Richard has been involved with many leading Porsche racing teams in Australia. He specialises in Porsche race car preparation, fabrication and engineering; including CAD design, TIG welding and component machining. Richard’s personal motorsport exploits have garnished much success, mainly on tarmac and navigation rallies. Richard was national co-driver champion at the 2007 Dutton Rally, finished 9th outright and Class Winner at the 3800km 2009 Australasian Safari and has competed at the Mt Buller sprints and the Classic Adelaide. Richard’s other interests include his unique off-road vehicles (Pinzgauer 6×6 and Haflinger 4×4), riding his vintage 1954 Puch motor scooter, snowboarding, mountain biking, rock climbing, boating and taking his family away camping.
Paul has a background in electrical engineering, and is our in-house electrical systems and component repair guru. His specialities include fuel injection, wiring, fault diagnosis, component repair and restoration. Paul also shares Richard’s interest in weird and wonderful modes of transport; he also has a Pinzgauer 6×6 as well as a 1959 Puch motor scooter at his disposal. Paul also enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, scuba diving, gliding (full size and model), fishing, surfing and camping.
